Fantastic food with really big portions. Coffees were delicious and the service was amazing. Beautiful spot to eat breakfy of a morning.Plenty of room for a Pram as well. Came back many times during our family holiday to Urunga.

Enjoyed a great dinner with friends. The meals were all fantastic. Especially my Surf’n’Turf. The best version I have ever had. The atmosphere was really nice and the staff were great. Looking forward to coming back again.

We were on our way home from a trip along the NSW North Coast and decided to stop in the beautiful town of Urunga. While driving around, we spotted this restaurant perfectly positioned right on the river and decided to pop in to see if they had a table. From the moment we arrived, the staff were welcoming, friendly, and more than happy to accommodate us.The service was quick and attentive, and the food was absolutely amazing with a great range of options to choose from. Everything was beautifully prepared and full of flavour — we honestly couldn’t fault a thing.We enjoyed the experience so much that we changed our plans and decided to stay on in the area. Accommodation in Urunga was limited due to peak holiday season, but that led us to The Lodge at Bellingen, which turned out to be an incredible spot on the coast and the perfect addition to our trip.We can’t wait to come back and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone passing through or staying in the area

What a perfect spot this restaurant is in. So lovely to sit near the river with a beautiful view. Great service. Lovely selection of food whether you only want cake and coffee, or brunch, lunch or dinner. Extensive, reasonably priced menu.

Stopped by this little gem today. So glad we did. The staff were excellent, could not do enough for us. And the food .... so good.My partner amd shared a few startersScallops ngiriHousing baby octopusKingfish crudoSquid in a fermented chilli butter sauce and a bowl of prawns.Kids were well looked after with their choices.Every mouthfull was delicious. Absolutely top shelf dining

Wouldn’t be a Urunga holiday without a meal at Anchors. Been for dinners in the past, which mere pretty good but for lunch.. it hits the spot.The team are all friendly, food was tasty and perfect location on the water.Coffees one of the best in town.The Salmon terrine was generous and delicious, the prawn and mango salad was light tangy and substantial.They had a fire years ago and the update, although minor has improved the layout and feel of the restaurant.Will be back for a breakfast before headed back home.Ok. Returned for breakfast and it was brilliant.Crab meat eggs Benedict and corned beef and potato hash hit the spot.

The food delicious, fresh, with a wide range of options for meat/seafood lovers (less so for vegetarians but what I did have was excellent) decent sized portions, great atmosphere. It’s pricey, but for a special occasion it’s worth it. The kids’ menu is also very generous and top quality

The seafood creamy rice in the second photo was absolutely delicious. The cocktails were great, the staff were very friendly, and the view was beautiful. We happened to catch a stunning sunset — such a wonderful experience!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! This is hands down the best restaurant in the area. The food and service never disappoints. We come here for most of our celebratory lunches and even on the busy popular days the service is prompt full of smiles and you are never waiting long for the food and drinks.

I have been here on and off for years when ever passing by and it's still one of the best cafes I know. The food was varied, interesting and just beautiful. Venue was spot on, welll set out and clean with a great environment around it. Staff were very friendly and polite aswell. Love it 😀

I thought it would be cold but it the atmosphere was really great. Above and beyond service from Mary who took care of us all and had incredible knowledge about the dishes so I didn't have to double check the menu. Her bubbly personality made us feel so welcomed, great portions too! Wonderful food, will definitely be back again ✨️

The food is real seafood, it is cooked beautifully, presented lovely 😍.The coffee is very very nice too.The service was wonderful too, the staff that served us were amazing nothing was a problem for them. Overall I would go there again and again.

I haven't been to dine in for many years, but I love their fish, the chips aren't the usual from most F&C shops. Even the fish CO-OP in Coffs Harbour is dismal in comparison. And the price is very reasonable for F&C. Back to the chips, they are like home cooked, crisp, cruchie and well done, the helpings are huge. I get Barramundi mostly but they have quite a good range. If you're passing Urunga and you like seafood, you can't go wrong with Anchors Wharf...😉😁👍

Great location and service. Celebrated my wife's birthday for lunch. We shared a mushroom arrachinhi which was excellent. A bottle Margaret River Semillon savugian blanc. Main were a seafood Mornay which was good but just a bit too much sauce. I had Red Emperor, again beautiful presentation but I found the sauce overpowering the flavour of the fish. We finished off with a shared lemon marang pie which was excellent and so were the coffees. It is well priced and we will return one day.

Called in for breakfast. Good menu selection and excellent service.Eggs Benedict were very good, Canadian pancake stack was okay but bacon was overcooked and dry.Excellent coffee and a pleasant view on the river.I'd definitely go back as the menu has many options to choose from.

Hands down best seafood restaurant on the Mid North Coast! Absolutely loved it. It's all about the food. Being right on the river at sunset just topped it off. Friendly staff, great service, not stuffy. Great spot for families or something more romantic too. Worth travelling for food this good!

Incredible seafood restaurant, easily the best restaurant on the Mid North Coast (yes, big call) but it is perfection. The quality of the seafood is second to noneSip on a cool drink on the deck as you watch the sunset over the Kalang river. We enjoyed the tom yum scallops - huge, juicy, cooked perfectly. Then the surf and turf - tender seared scotch fillet topped with beautiful pieces of fish, scallops, half shell mussels, half a Balmain big, king prawns in a garlicky Mornay sauce.The perfect spot for a special occasion or a night out enjoying life's pleasures, be sure to visit if you're in this beautiful part of the world

WOW what a great seafood restaurant. We had a table downstairs on the deck. The food was excellent. We had seafood mornay😋, seafood basket😋 and barramundi. I loved the garlic mornay it was delicious. Seafood all so fresh. We went on a Wednesday for lunch. Give it a go. Highly recommend 🥇🥇🥇
